Playa Palancar
Location: Southwest
Relaxed, a bit rustic, you won’t find too many tourists ,but you will find crystal clear waters and soft beaches.
Great for snorkeling and diving, you’ll see a wide variety of fish plus lobsters and turtles.
Paradise Beach
Location: West Coast
One of the most popular beach clubs in Cozumel , you’ll find calm clear water and sparkling sands. Lined with palm trees, it’s great for relaxing or diving.
It has some amazing resorts and restaurants. Paradise Beach is great for all ages and also quite popular for all the cruise ships.
Punta Sur Eco Beach Park
Location: Southeast
It’s the largest eco reserve in Cozumel, and it featuresa variety of indigenous species, including exotic birds, sea turtles and even crocodiles.
It’s also a great place to lounge as it has calm waters and a nice beach.
Sky Reef
Location: West
Cozumel has the world’s second largest barrier reef, and you can see part of it at Sky Reef. With an emphasis on caring for and conserving the reef, you can see a wide variety of colorful fish.
The beach club itself is also nice and clean with good food, tequila and other amenities.
The Best Coffee in Cozumel
The Beans
Good coffee always starts with the bean. Most of the great coffee in Cozumel is grown at a high altitude in Veracruz, then roasted locally. Organic, fair trade and pesticide free, the coffee is light, a bit nutty and has chocolate overtones.
Traditional Mexican “Olla”
Often made with made with ground coffee, cinnamon, and piloncilloin(unrefined sugar) an earthen clay pot gives a special flavor to the coffee.
Variations of it can include chocolate and iced.
Mayan Coffee
The drink of the gods? Maybe. This alcoholic drink features ground coffee, kahlua, whipped cream and Xtabentún which is a type of honey liquer.
Mexican Mocha
A kind of rustic drink. coffee and cream with cinnamon, nutmeg, and cayenne pepper
